FAIL!

The story from AP: “But what LaHood and other administration officials usually don't mention is that some trucks and sport-utility vehicles that get less than 20 miles per gallon, like the Ford F-150 truck and one version of the Cadillac SRX Crossover, also are being purchased with the new government subsidies. Both are bulky vehicles weighing more than 6,000 pounds when loaded that boast at least 248 horsepower … Ledesma hopes to sell the other 14 at the dealership, along with some of the Hummer H3Ts on the lot that are eligible for clunker rebates.”

So the government can’t even run a car program correctly as they have showed us several times. First we ran out of $1B that was slated for the program in 6 days causing it to come to a screeching halt (pun intended). Next, we learn that after funding the program with $2B more dollars there has been a dramatic slowdown in demand. Now we learn that the program designed to get low gas mileage vehicles off the road and replace them with fuel sippers is allowing rebates for HUMMER vehicles, trucks, and other SUVs that get less than 20 mpg.

Can this administration do anything right? Oh, yeah, they can fix healthcare and do that right. Sure they can….
